- In the first step you need to place the new door latch in proper position and bolt it with a screw. Make sure the latch is properly positioned so that the knob can function properly.
- When you fit the knob, check the screws on either side of the door to ensure that it has fitted in properly.
- The long screws should be carefully inserted through the holes on either sides of your door. The screws must be tightened with “alternating pattern”. Looseness of the door or any kinds of rattling means that the screws have not fitted in tightly.
- You need to attach a new strike plate in a proper position along with the screws. This way you need to completely tighten the screws.
